Harry Fine is a paralegal of 13 years, after sitting as an
adjudicator at the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board. He's
seen the system from both sides of the bench.
A member of the Law Society of Ontario, in 2018 Harry was honoured with the Law Society's presigious William
J. Simpson Distinguished Paralegal Award. He is one of only
7 paralegals to receive that honour.
Harry's unique perspective having sat on both sides
of the bench make him the perfect interview where factual,
practical, balanced and up-to-date information is required. Harry's
clients include both landlords and tenants, including both small and
Harry has taught law related subject to aspiring
paralegals at Humber College and George Brown college, including
residential tenancy law.
Hary has served as President of the Landlord's
Self-Help Centre, the only legal clinic for landlords funded by
Legal Aid Ontario. In addition he sat on industry volunteer
boards, acting as director of both the Ontario Paralegal Association
and the Paralegal Society of Ontario.
Harry has had a coveted seat on the Landlord and
Tenant Board's stakeholder advisory committee, providing input to
the Board Chair and staff on issues that affect clients.
Harry has appeared on CBC TV news live, on CityTV for
a Facebook Live event with cut-ins to the local news, been
interviewed on a variety of Toronto radio stations and been a guest
on a number of local cable shows. He has been published in
feature articles in several Toronto newspapers. On the social
media front, Harry has a large Twitter following and a blog that is
known as the most informative and up-to-date publication for
landlords in Ontario.
